Sunday School

At Langford we view our children as one of our greatest resources.  As such we take seriously the command and promise in Proverbs 22:6 which states:  "Train up a child in the way they should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."  During the School year we offer age appropriate Sunday school programs for toddlers to teens.  During the summer months we offer a junior church program for the younger children.

Youth Group

The youth of today are constantly being bombarded with voices on all sides.  At Langford we see the need and value of speaking God’s word into the lives of our youth. Our Youth Group, offered for students grade 6 and up generally meets twice a month during the school year.  We participate in a host of different events such as: games nights, worship and bible study, bowling, mystery getaway, progressive suppers, scavenger hunts, to name a few. We look for opportunities to bring the gospel message into present day situations making it relevant and understandable for our youth.

Langford Church Women

The LCW meet the second Wednesday of the month in the church hall. Our meetings consist of a brief devotion, singing, and time of prayer along with a variety of guest speakers.  Each spring we host a Victorian Tea and in autumn we host a home grown Harvest Dinner.  Through our fundraising we support both local and world wide missions.

Missions

Although many of us are not able to travel around the world spreading the message of Christ, we are eager to use our gifts to play an active role with our prayers and our financial resources.  Our church intentionally supports mission work at an international, national and local level, financially supporting the work of Compassion Canada, Teen Challenge, Christian Gleaners, Friendship House (Brantford) and the Brantford Pregnancy and Resource Centre

We serve globally and locally, filling 'shoeboxes' for Operation Christmas Child through Samaritans Purse, collecting food for Friendship House and the Brantford Food Bank and providing a hot meal to "At Risk Youth" at the Why Not City Mission 4 or 5 times each year.

Bible Study

2 Timothy 3:16, 17 states:  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.  God speaks to us through His Word, to shape and empower us for His good purposes, so we offer bible studies throughout the year.  Check the News pages for details.
